Ms. Natasha Birnbaum

Director – Forecasting & Modeling

In her role, Ms. Birnbaum develops and maintains excel-based advanced valuation and economic models, including financial decision models and stochastic stress case models for rating agencies used in commercial aircraft asset-backed securitization (ABS).

Natasha Sidhu Birnbaum joined mba in August 2017. She heads mba’s maintenance cashflow forecasting within the Forecasting & Modeling group, which has prepared independent, third-party maintenance cashflow forecasts for securitizations, lessors, investors, banks, and airlines since 2014. Her attention to detail in lease interpretation, technical understanding, and experience in statistical modeling allows her to guide her team in producing well-considered forecasts. Her goal is to ensure that every stakeholder in an issuance is confident that the third party forecast mba provides is held to the highest standard of independence and includes the most uptodate technical and financial considerations regarding aircraft lease cashflows.  Ms. Birnbaum and her team are focused on clear communication, a smooth process, and an on-time delivery of all their forecasting & modeling services.

 

Ms. Birnbaum works regularly with rating agencies to model maintenance cashflow stresses in line with updated global methodologies. She is experienced in communication of forecasting concepts with a wide variety of stakeholders, from technically sophisticated lessors to investors new to the aviation space.  Ms. Birnbaum is often invited to present these capabilities at conferences and investor days.  Ms. Birnbaum is a Certified Valuation Analyst and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Johns Hopkins University.
