Mr. Marc Wilson
Head of Technical
Mr. Wilson’s extensive background in technical management and engineering for airlines and aircraft manufacturers has served him well in his position as Head of Technical at Morten Beyer & Agnew.
Marc Wilson joined mba in September 2007. He now heads mba’s European office as the Head of the Technical division. With extensive experience in technical lease management, aircraft inspection, delivery, continuous management throughout the lease term, and aircraft redelivery, his role is to oversee mba’s technical services including the asset management program. He is responsible for overseeing asset management activities for all of mba’s investor clients to include, analyzing client aircraft utilization, maintenance reserve funding and invoice approval, regulatory compliance and aircraft condition. In addition, he performs load and stress analysis of aircraft structures, designs aircraft and engine maintenance and modification programs, develops operating budgets and negotiates supplier contracts with airframe, engine and component maintenance providers.
Mr. Wilson has held Senior Engineering and Technical Management positions for American Eagle Airlines, Independence Airlines, and Compass Airlines. Prior to joining mba, he served as Senior Manager of Technical Engineering for Compass Airlines and was Director of Technical Services at Independence Air. In addition to his work with air carriers, Mr. Wilson has also held engineering positions for two aircraft manufacturers.
Mr. Wilson has over 30 years of experience in the aviation industry including experience in engineering, and also maintenance and technical service experience with aircraft manufacturers and regional airlines. In addition, Mr. Wilson holds ONC and HNC qualifications in aeronautical engineering and a C & GLI qualification in aeronautical engineering, both from the College of Technology in Belfast. He has completed the Systems Safety Training course through the FAA and has studied fracture mechanics at George Mason University.
