Mr. Calvin Luo
Senior Advisor – Greater China Region
Mr. Calvin Luo is a senior advisor to the Company, responsible for business development and customer relations with all clients, partners and stakeholders within the Greater China Region for all of MBA Aviation’s product and service lines.
Mr. Luo started his career in Air China’s Legal Affairs Department in Beijing as a staff attorney. He then moved to New York City, where he received an advanced law degree and, after admission to the New York bar, practiced with the New York City firm of Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP in its Aviation Practice Group where he represented some major Chinese airlines in the US. Prior to joining mba Aviation, Mr. Luo spent seven years with Boeing Commercial Airplanes as a Seattle-based Sales Director responsible for some of the biggest and most strategically important of that OEM’s accounts in China. In that capacity, he was the leader of a team of dedicated Sales, Marketing, Contracts, Customer Engineering and Customer Support personnel that sold hundreds of new commercial aircraft to Chinese airlines. Among other accomplishments, his team structured a transaction for the first fifteen 777-300ER aircraft between Boeing and a Chinese customer in 2007. Mr. Luo then spent three years with Bombardier Commercial Airplanes, based in Shanghai, where he lead a creative sales team for that manufacturer’s CSeries, regional jet and turboprop products in the Mainland China, Taiwan and Mongolia markets.
Mr. Luo holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from Beijing University Law School and a Master of Laws (LLM) Degree from New York University (NYU) School of Law. He has been a member of the New York Bar since 2003 and is a member of The Wings Club (New York).
