Morten S. Beyer

Morten Beyer served as Chairman & CEO of mba from 1992 to 2004, after having resigned as Chairman of AVMARK, Inc., an organization which he founded in 1962. Mr. Beyer is known as one of the pioneers in aviation consulting. He has more than 50 years experience in the air transport industry, and is an original member of the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT), an organization which established the Principles of Appraisal Practice and Code of Ethics as guidelines for its members. Mr. Beyer currently holds the title of ISTAT Certified Senior Appraiser Fellow.

In addition to his many years of experience as a consultant to industry organizations, Mr. Beyer has held many top management positions with current and former carriers. These include the position of President at Johnson International Airlines, where he presided over the purchase of Johnson by Evergreen International Airlines. Mr. Beyer also took the helm as President of Capital Air in 1971 with a one-year mission goal of returning the carrier to profitability. Previous to that position, Mr. Beyer held the positions of President of Modern Air Transport, Deputy Director and General Manager at Jeddah-based Saudi Arabian Airlines, and Senior Vice President of Operations, Maintenance, and Sales at Riddle Airlines. Mr. Beyer also spent 17 years serving in various managerial capacities with Pan American Airways and Capital Airlines.
